Emeldah’s Story

Emeldah, a single mother of 4, was abandoned by her husband 3 years ago for another woman. She has had to work hard for her children to have enough food and possibly a surplus to sell and send one of her children to school.

For a first time she has harvested 32 bags of maize/corn. Kelvin her oldest son proudly displays the corn.

Grand mother Moya

Moya’s Story

A local grandmother, Moya, with 3 widowed daughters in law, planted both soya beans and corn earlier in the year. They live on and own a 2 acre farm. She now has surplus harvest to sell and aims to buy 2 goats this year. With the goats she is able to provide milk for her family as well as the basic soya beans and corn.” She says to our project leader Jacob, “May God bless you my son and all that you do.”
